- Revision Rhinoplasty
This 51-year-old patient had always been unhappy with the appearance for her nose. After a long wait, she submitted to a rhinoplasty in Atlanta. Initially she was happy with her results, but after about a year, she started noticing that her nasal tip had become pinched and that progressively got worse. She was looking for a nose with a smooth and straight nasal bridge and a tip that was more refined, lifted and with a smooth contour.
She met with Dr. Antunes at his Facial Plastic Surgery Practice in Austin, Texas, for a consultation to discuss her options. During the exam, Dr. Antunes examined the inside and outside of her nose, discussed her goals and performed computer image morphing to confirm the patient’s goals with her revision rhinoplasty were realistic.
The patient is shown here 1 year after her revision rhinoplasty. Dr. Antunes used rib cartilage grafting to restore the nasal tip and improve its contour and support. She is extremely pleased with her results and has received many compliments. In addition, she feels that the procedure also helped her breathe better.
