This 32-year-old patient had always been unhappy with the appearance of her nose. After a long wait, she submitted to a rhinoplasty. Initially she was happy with her results, but after about a year, she started noticing that her nasal tip was progressively getting pinched. In addition, she started having some difficulty breathing. She was looking for a nose with a nasal tip that was delicate and refined, but not pinched.

She met with Dr Antunes at his Facial Plastic Surgery Practice in Austin, Texas, for a consultation to discuss her options. During the exam, Dr. Antunes examined the inside and outside of her nose, discussed her goals and performed computer image morphing to confirm the patient’s goals with her revision rhinoplasty were realistic.

The patient is shown here 1 year after her revision rhinoplasty. Dr. Antunes used ear cartilage to restructure her nasal tip. She is very pleased with her results and feels that the procedure also helped her breathe better.
